+5,300 WOMEN WHO HAVE SHAPED THEIR FUTURE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to the “ She is Digital ” program and Junior Achievement El Salvador, Katherine strengthened her programming skills, learned Java and the Spring Framework, and honed her use of best practices in web development. These skills opened the door to a paid internship at Code Castle, where she applied her skills and gained professional experience to further her growth. 

“Thanks to She is Digital, I was able to overcome my technical insecurities and find an opportunity that is helping me grow both professionally and personally,” says Katherine. Her story is a clear example of the power of training to open up new opportunities! 

Valeria García, a graduate of She is Digital in Honduras, discovered that the first step toward transforming her professional future was daring to believe in herself. With that conviction, she decided to forge a path for herself in the tech sector—a field where gender gaps still persist, but where there are also great opportunities.

After completing the program, Valeria was selected from dozens of applicants to do an internship at a financial institution, marking the beginning of her work experience in technology and consolidating an achievement that today drives her professional growth.

From Costa Rica, María José Conejo Leiva found in She is Digital a community that came into her life at just the right moment. With a background in cybersecurity and as a front-end developer, she discovered a space filled with inspiring women who showed her that she wasn’t alone and that asking for help is an act of courage and personal growth. 

Thanks to the support of She is Digital, María José was selected as a Junior Front-End Developer at Accenture. In addition, her career path and learning experience led her to become a speaker at Google DevFest, which underscores her commitment and professionalism.

Today, María José shares her knowledge as a mentor at Rocket Girls, inspiring new generations to join the technological world with confidence and solid skills.
