With emotion, pride and deep gratitude, She's Digital closed its first edition in Costa Rica, consolidating itself as a regional program of high impact in technical training and employability of young women in the technology area and the digital economy.
Beyond the academic achievements and the numbers achieved, this project left an indelible mark on the lives of more than a thousand Costa Rican women. Through a 10-month training process, the program boosted not only the participants' professional growth, but also their personal development, self-esteem and determination to make their way in an increasingly innovative and competitive world.
A regional history that transforms
She's Digital has reached thousands of women in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, and in each country has demonstrated that technology is also their territory. The stories that emerge from the program are full of self-improvement, courage and a genuine desire to change realities, improve living conditions and enter a challenging labor ecosystem, but full of possibilities.
The most valuable learning from this experience has been, undoubtedly, the commitment and inspiration of each of the women who completed this edition. Digital women who today have concrete tools to face their present and project a future with new opportunities.
A team committed to the mission
The success of this edition would not have been possible without the joint effort of the actors who believed in the potential of Costa Rican women. From Junior Achievement Costa Rica, which took on the challenge of implementing this project with determination, to each mentor, volunteer, strategic ally, sponsor and company that opened its doors to our graduates.
During four generations of the program, a team of 12 people worked with synergy, empathy and absolute dedication to achieve the graduation of 1,029 women. Their work not only accompanied the process technically, but also embraced each participant with humanity, guiding them in their moments of doubt and celebrating each of their achievements.
To all of them -Antonio Carranza Vásquez, Maria Belén Barbieri, Karol González Ureña, Ronny Berrocal Monge, Estefany Guerrero Conejo, Jimena Rodríguez Sánchez, David Hidalgo, Daniel Avilés Vargas, Marcela Segares, Jonathan Walker, Nickol Carrillo Orozco and Ana Karolina Somoza-, the deepest thanks. Their work made a real difference.
And to Randall Pacheco Vásquez, thank you for leading, advising and trusting this team with empathy and vision.
Women who inspire
Finally, this achievement would not be such without the real protagonists: our Costa Rican digital women. Brave, curious, determined and visionary women, who bet on themselves and took on the challenge of growing and making their way in the technology sector. This closing is for them.
Continue to promote spaces such as She's Digital is not only a social responsibility; it is a duty as citizens committed to a more equitable, prosperous and forward-looking region. Because when a woman empowers herself, she transforms not only her own history, but also that of her community.
