She's Digital, the training and employability program from Junior Achievement Americas co-designed with IDB Lab, ranks among the world’s top 25 EdTech solutions in the Non-Profit category of the second edition of the Global EdTech Prize.
Behind that place are thousands of young women who decided to learn a new language—that of technology—and carve out a path for themselves in an industry where they are still in the minority.
T4 Education created the award with the support of Owl Ventures and Digital Promise, and it has a unique feature that makes it especially meaningful to us: the finalists are not selected by an industry panel, but by educators.
Recognition backed by evidence
This distinction is based on an external evaluation using data from participants in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, as documented in our most recent impact study,“Women in Technology: Findings from Junior Achievement’s Employability Programs in Latin America.”
The numbers tell part of the story: To date, the program has trained more than 5,300 women, certified more than 2,500, and helped more than 1,700 enter the workforce, with an average income increase of over 33% among graduates.
The other side of the story is told directly by the participants. Most of them join the program unemployed; many are heads of households or have dependents. What changes is not just their résumé, but their confidence to apply for jobs and build a career.

Each issue features a woman who decided to change her future and pursue a career in the tech industry. She was committed, persevering, and had the confidence to transform her professional path.

In September 2026, we will announce the ten finalists in each category; the finalists will present their work to a panel of experts at the World Schools Summit in London; and in January 2027, educators will vote for the winners in each category.
